Check your usr/OV/conf/oid-to-type file. Is the sysObjectID you got from
snmpwalk in there? If not, then you have to add it. It sounds like the one for
2216's is there, so use that as a model. If the 2212 is not there, then after
you add this entry you will
have to delete and rediscover it. First, ovstop netmon, select the object on
the map, pull down Edit --> Delete from all submaps. Then close the GUI, and
run ovtopofix -a. Then restart netmon and the GUI and it should get
re-discovered correctly.

The 2212 entry is already there? Does the sysObjectId you got from snmpwalk
match what the entry in the file says?

Hi,

I should have mentioned it, but I have already checked out snmp-connectivity.
Snmpwalk works beautifully, and the community strings are also good.
I suspect that it might be the oid-to-type problem, but how can I troubleshoot
it?

Thanks for the help
