Are you root when you are in the Dialog? If you are doing this from the GUI,
did you start the GUI as root?

Subject: MIB data collection question

Hi List,

Netview V.5.1
AIX 4.3.2

When I try to define a Data Collection via Data Collection & Thresholds: SNMP,
I notice something interesting.
Some MIB instances cannot be collected in this way at all. What I mean is that
the options to define the specific collection are greyed out, and thus cannot be
selected.
An example: mgmt.mib-2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifInOctets doesn
´t allow
me to create a collection!

Real strange, because I have collected this value in this way before. I just
don´t know why it acts so hostile this time...

Anybody know what I am missing?
