Hi Leslie,
i tried a more logical threshold condition to test
MLM.
This time i want MLM to arm a threshold and send a
trap when i have less than 20 free address in a subnet
and to rearm it when i have more than 20.
This MIB variable is defined as a counter and then,
when MLM polls a subnet with constant free address
i receive a trap because the value is 0 'it is the
delta value beetween two pollings).
When you defined your threshold using MLM you can can
decide if the value type is either integer or counter
or gauge.
I tried those 3 features and the result is the same, i
receive a trap for each subnet with no changes, and
the value of the mib variable is 0.
I had a look on /var/adm/smv2/log/smtrap.log and the
value really is 0.
Moreover i performed a collect of this variable
and in /var/adm/smv2/collect/midmand.col i can see
the variable with is real value (actually 96) , not
the delta value beetween two pollings.
I really tried all i have in mind, if you have any
solution or explanation to make me understand what is
happening that would be really helpfull.
Best regards.
