Hello All. Could someone confirm if I have this correct... When a Cisco Switch sends a Link Down trap, does this mean that an end station (say a PC hanging off that port) is no longer connected? i.e., if someone simply shutdown their PC, would that suffice to generate a link down? And, once they powered back up, you should get Link Up?? You can get a Link Down and the port itself still be functioning fine? Any info appreciated, Sincerely, Gord Michaels. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com |
