Rob,

Do you have the "Read Write" map open, or a "Read Only" map? If it is a "Read
Only" map, try "refreshing" the map.

sorry if I was unclear. You are correct, nvUtil l <cname>
lists the nodes, however drilling down through the map does not. If you use the
"test" button on the collection editor it also displays what I would expect.
collmap/cold are running.

[On a tangent I tried removing one of the routers from the object database (via
GUI: delete from all submaps). Unfortunately it will not come back :(
ovtopofix cleans up the entries that I recognize, but perhaps there are leftover
interface entries-this router has many.]

Could there be some db funkiness at work here?

Not sure I understand what you mean when you say

When I create a collection selecting that field as the criterion I see 2 routers
when I test the collection, however they are not placed in the collection when
it is created.

Do you do " nvUtil l <collection_name>" and they aren't listed? Do you go to
the map and drill down and not find them?
For the latter, collmap must be running. Is it?

Hi folks, I have been tryingto create a collection using a new boolean field.
That part seems to have gone well, as well as the nvdbimport populating the
field for several hosts.

When I create a collection selecting that field as the criterion I see 2 routers
when I test the collection, however they are not placed in the collection when
it is created.

I have checked the database objects for those two devices (at least what I think
are the objects for those devices), and the flag is indeed set to true.

I am stumped, any ideas???

thanks
