"lrstme0.levis.gvdl.com" is itself the NetView server? Now I am surprised. I
don't know if I agree with your diagnosis but mgragentd does have a log :
/usr/OV/log/mgragent.log where you could start looking for answers.
But I would plan on calling Support if you can't find any.

Thanks James for your help,

This is the only Netview server I have on the network. I look at the
process and it there.
So it polling it self and once in a while it does not get a answer from the
mgragentd for some reason...

root 27372 17056 0 Mar 13 - 0:01 /usr/OV/bin/mgragentd -f

Where do you think I should start to look

Thanks again

Christian

The way one NetView (for UNIX) determines that an another box is also a NetView,
is by polling it and asking for a MIB variable that only mgragentd will repsond
to. If mgragentd is down or does not respond, then there is a problem. Is this
other box really a NetView? Is mgragentd on it up and running?
