Other than trapd.log, here are the other log files that we run maintenance
scripts on:
c5d.log
c5eui.log
netmon.trace
ovactiond.log
shpmon.log
snmpCol.trace
If you look at the NetView cron facility, there are already some log file
maintenance scripts supplied with NetView. For the other log files, we just
copied one of the NetView scripts, and customized it to work with that log
file. They are all scheduled to run daily in the crontab.

I generally only worry about trapd.log. The rest either grow very very
slowly, or have the a/b format, or are otherwise self-limiting. I use the
script provided for trapd.log maintenance (choose it in the configuration
of trapd daemon). Also watch $HOME/nv6000.log.

Subject: [NV-L] Log Files
Hi,
In general, what log files should cron'ed? Does the trapd.log and the
ovevents.log file get full? and if they do, will it automatically make a
backup and then start again. Just looking for recommendation of which log
files should monitored daily/weekly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you.
