As I have stated her before, there is currently no command to unmanage a device
from the command line or in a shell script. You unmanage a device in a map, and
relative to that map, and that requires you to have that map open read-write. If
you have more than one map, you must open each one in turn, and unmanage the
device in each. Unmanage / manage is a GUI-only opertaion in NetView Version
5.1. I know this is under discussion as a possible enhancement in future
releases, but that's the way it currently works, and has always worked. And
you'll know when, and if, this changes, because they are sure to make a big deal
about it in the doc and release notes.
What you find in the reg files is still relative to the map that is open and to
the object selected, and you cannot specify that in a shell script.

I'm looking for a method to unmanage a device from a shell script. I've
looked through the registration files and found f.manage but think that it
may be an internal command to the netview binary. Anyone have any ideas?
