The smitty/Framework option "Resolve Database Inconsistencies" just runs
ovtopofix.  You did that already.  What it does is adjust topology to match
the
object database.  Your objects are still there, which is why it does no
good.

The correct way to remove things is to open your maps, on at time, read-w
rite,
locate the object to be deleted, select it, and use Edit to delete  it from
all
submaps.  After you have done that, then you run ovtopofix.

Hi All,

Do you know if there is any means of removing defunct objects from the
topology database? When a defunct object does get synchronized onto the map,
double clicking it explodes a submap without any interface as suggested by
the last line (NUMBER OF INTERFACES:0) in the output of ovtopodump. The
defunct object entry simply stays in the topology database even when it is
deleted from all maps through the GUI. I tried ovtopofix -a and also Resolve
Database Inconsistencies through smitty but still in vain. This problem has
caused missing links between my site symbols.
