Hi list We do have two Cisco 7206 in our network and NetView (V6.0 on AIX 4.3.2) has trouble discovering them. Both (10.1.1.4 and 10.1.1.5) are in the seedfile and netmon polls them. I ran netmon in trace mode and found the following strange entry in netmon.trace (the following output is from 10.1.1.5): .//nl_snmpstate.c[1887] : addNodeToTopo(10.1.1.5) failed: Topology OK -- no error Using ovobjprint there are some entries...but no "icon" for the 7206 OBJECT: 523 FIELD ID FIELD NAME FIELD VALUE 10 Selection Name "10.1.1.5:FastEthernet0/0" 100 IP Address "10.1.1.5" 101 IP Subnet Mask "255.255.255.0" 102 IP Status Normal(2) 159 isInterface TRUE 164 isHSRP FALSE 169 isIP TRUE 191 SNMP ifType Ethernet CSMACD(6) 192 SNMP ifPhysAddr "0x0050538A8C00" 193 SNMP ifDescr "FastEthernet0/0" 194 SNMP ifSpeed 100000000 235 TopM Network ID 646 236 TopM Segment ID 732 237 TopM Node ID 524 250 XXMAP Protocol List "IP" 251 XXMAP SAPs Used List 0 OBJECT: 524 FIELD ID FIELD NAME FIELD VALUE 10 Selection Name "10.1.1.5" 11 IP Hostname "10.1.1.5" 57 SNMPAgent Cisco Router(3) 62 vendor cisco Systems(13) 102 IP Status Normal(2) 105 isIPRouter TRUE 142 isNode TRUE 145 isConnector TRUE 146 isBridge FALSE 147 isRouter TRUE 148 isHub FALSE 168 routerSysName "C7206_UL" 169 isIP TRUE 185 isSNMPSupported TRUE 187 SNMP sysDescr "Cisco Internetwork Operating System Software IOS (tm) 7200 Software (C7200-IS-M), Version 12.0(6), RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1) Copyright (c) 1986-1999 by cisco Systems, Inc. Does anyone know, what is causing NetView not to show the object? Has somebody NetView running managing a Cisco 7206? Other users with experiences with 7206?
