Running netview 5.1.2 on solaris and have some strange map issues.
I have created some logins for our operations people and just removed some
of their permissions etc.
I have created a new host file to conform to a new naming convention. I cant
however get the objects to pick up the new names. Does this only happen at
discovery time. Would I have to delete the objects and rediscover.
Have tried logging in using the default nv_sec admin profile. I manually
renamed some of the nodes which is a slow way of achieving the same thing.
If I log in as one of the operators these changes are not there.
The other confusing thing is managed and unmanaged devices. If Im logged in
an object may be unmanaged but to our operators it is managed, very
confusing.
I havent got another sun box to build a Netview client so we are all running
x windows sessions. Usually one for operations and when I use it a second
session. Is that ok?
