Hi Leslie,

It must be voodoo ;) I can create the problems with nvUtil only - it cannot
be the test button (or the reselection of the default settings) - from my
point of you the problem is
if NV is busy with other stuff - the smartsets gets corrupted. On my
workstation with nvUtil e (evaluate) - somethimes all objects are
"evaluated" ;)

I have gotten in the habit of always doing the test button because on
occasion
I too have seen it grab everything. If I do it over, it does it right.
Nothing really
recreate-able, so I have not called it in. It does seem that if I actually
touch the
buttons rather than let it default (eg touch the True rather than just
going straight
to test after selecting the attribute) it does not happen. Voodoo?

Subject: [NV-L] NV6 and Smartsets

Hej,

Env: NV 6.0, AIX 4.3.2,

I have seen some strange behavior on the Smartset Editor on several NV
Installations, like

- nvcold dying
- Smartset is adding all objects it finds in the Database ! (rule "IP
Hostname" ~ "^dyn") i have seen there objects on the GUI like "IP Internet"
with nvUtil l "rulename" i found things like "MetaConn1234" and so on
.....
- nvUtil e (Evaluate) rule - differs from an allready created Smartset with
the same "rule function" ....

Anybody else seen this ?

Thanks,

Kind Regards,
