Chance, I would not introduce the location.conf file until I had a good
discovery. Errors in the location.conf file can cause you to lose some
interfaces. However, you should be seeing routers, etc, on the IP
Internet level of the submap. You have to cut (from THIS submap)
the routers and paste them into the location submaps. Only networks
are handled by the location.conf file.
Also, at 6.0, unless you have the e-fix for APAR IX10063 installed, you
MUST do an ovtopofix -a before trying to do any cut/paste on a
map created with a location.conf file.
If you are not seeing routers on the IP Internet level of the map, then
you do not have a good discovery yet. Hope this helps.

I am using Netview 6 on AIX 4.
I have setup a location.conf file and a seedfile. The seedfile simply
contains a list of the oids that I want to discover.
Everything works great, all my locations are created in the right
places and the networks are discovered, except there are no routers or
switches listed under the locations. I know I have the right oids in
the seedfile because I used the seedfile from one of my production
machines. If I click on and manage a network, it then discovers the
equipment.
Any ideas how I can get the equipment discovered without having to go
in and manage every network by hand?
