A BDC is a Backup Domain Controller in NT, it is subordinate to the PDC or
Primary Domain Controller which is the master account holder and does the
authentication. Why can't you create the account on the PDC and let it spawn
out to the BDCs?

My only suggesion is to call Support. I don't even know what a BDC is. I
don't do the install part of the product, and I have no experience
troubleshooting it on Windows, period.
Sorry

Subject: [NV-L] NetView Client for Win-NT
Hello,
I am configuring NetView client for Win NT ver 6.0.1.
The Machine that I am using is a BDC.
The Installation fails as creation of NetView user
account on BDC is not permitted.
The User's Guide suggests to crearte a user manually
on the BDC and then execute
"nvinstall -nu" from the command prompt.
I did the same but the installation does not proceed.
Any suggestions please?
