I am not sure with Solaris, but I have had the issue with AIX and I
had to enter into smit and stop and restart the daemons there. After that
everything worked fine. Ovsop and ovstart didnt work for some reason.

Subject: [NV-L] Netview Processes not Starting
Hello all,
Environment:
NV 6.0 (just upgraded from version 5)
Solaris 2.7 (running on E450 )
I just received an event stating that the nvserverd process had
ended. I issued
the ovstop command to stop any remaining processes and then ovstart
to restart
and now half of my processes will not start. Any suggestions will
be
appreciated.
