You have nothing to lose by trying ovtopofix. It won't break anything. It
is a maintenance utility and you can learn about it through the man page or
the books. How did this locations symbol get created, bu location.conf or
by you, by hand? Is it on the Internet submap?

I am running 6.01 and still experiencing the problem.

Would running ovtopofix help in this case?

I would expect that if you were on 6.0, used the location.conf file, and
did
not do an ovtopofix before trying to add something, or do a cut and paste.
This problem is fixed in 6.01.

When I create a new location container on a submap, it has a shadow
around it. The system has been synschronized after the addition and
     the shadow still exists.

     Any ideas?
