I am attempting to "tune" NetView (6.0.1 AIX 4.3.2) due to the fact that the
database is getting Huge, and I have a question about something in the manual.
In the manual there is:
To increase the status monitoring response time for large networks, consider
increasing the netmon ping queue size to a maximum of 32 (the default is 16). To
increase the ping queue size:
Add the -q32 flag to the /usr/OV/lrf/netmon.lrf file.
Type the following commands:
/usr/OV/bin/ovstop netmon
/usr/OV/bin/ovaddobj /usr/OV/lrf/netmon.lrf
/usr/OV/bin/ovstart netmon
My netmon.lrf file looks like this:
netmon:/usr/OV/bin/netmon:
OVs_YES_START:nvsecd,ovtopmd,trapd,ovwdb:-P,-S,-s/usr/OV/conf/netmon.seed.good,-u:OVs_WELL_BEHAVED:15:
Where do I put the -q32?
Thanks.
