We had the same problem and in our case it was a problem with the DNS. We
solved it creating a hosts file in the AIX.

For some reason, Netview deleted a node while it was down, I've tried using
the netmon.seed file to get it re-discovered without success, I've also
tried adding it manually, that seems to work but then shortly after it gets
deleted.

What is going on?

I get the following in the Event log.
