Hi All:
Our Client has NetView 6.0.1 & Aix 4.3.2

Our client said that the routers appear and disappear
all the time (slowly), and I am not sure what is
happening.

I believe that the problem is related to the routes,
our client has an static schema.

I made an script that gets the routing table (from all
the routers) from the following SNMP vars:

iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-
2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifDescrive
.1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2
iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-
2.ip.ipRouteTable.ipRouteEntry.ipRouteIfindex
.1.3.6.1.2.1.4.21.1.2
iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-
2.ip.ipRouteTable.ipRouteEntry.ipRouteNextHop
.1.3.6.1.2.1.4.21.1.7
iso.org.dod.internet.mgmt.mib-
2.ip.ipRouteTable.ipRouteEntry.ipRouteType
.1.3.6.1.2.1.4.21.1.8

In some routers the router reports some invalid
routes, it look like:

Router: XXXX
--------------------------------------------------------
------
Destination Gateway Type Index
         Interface
--------------------------------------------------------
------
0.0.0.0 150.62.110.1 invalid 3
         Port_5, Ethernet /Motorola /VANGUARD 6430
100.10.204.0 100.10.204.0 direct 5
         LCON_5 /Motorola /VANGUARD 6430
100.10.205.0 100.10.205.0 direct 6
         LCON_6 /Motorola /VANGUARD 6430
150.62.0.0 150.62.0.0 direct 3
         Port_5, Ethernet /Motorola /VANGUARD 6430
150.204.0.0 100.10.204.2 invalid 5
         LCON_5 /Motorola /VANGUARD 6430
150.205.0.0 100.10.205.2 invalid 6
         LCON_6 /Motorola /VANGUARD 6430

Some body could tell me what is the meaning of an
invalid route ?

Could the invalid routes produce that NV discover and
delete some routers ?

Any body has an idea or suggestion what is happening ?
or where can I seek for the problem ?

Thanks in advance,

Sergio Cardona.
