You could use snmpCollect to pull that information from snmpd, and
configure a threshold trap to be sent when the traffic exceeds a particular
level.  then you could configure an automatic action in trapd.conf to send
the email.

I am running NV 5.1.3 on a Solaris.
My goal is to generate an eMail when interface traffic is high.

It will be a good solution to use trapgend to generate an event BUT,
on Solaris the trapgend is not running, just on AIX (Documentation).

So maybe there is a workarount solution???
