There is an nv6000.log on UNIX which serves the same purpose as the nv.log
on NT, but daemon error messages are not written there. Those are written
to nettl.
I would cd /usr/OV/log and run netfmt on the nettl logs to see what is in
them.
     netfmt -f nettl.LOG00 > formatted.nettl.LOG00
     netfmt -f nettl.LOG01 > formatted.nettl.LOG01

Could you have temporarily run out of space on /usr/OV? Did you look for
cor in /usr/OV/PD/cores? Looked at errpt?

And please install 5.1.3. 5.1.1 is out of support.

Subject: [NV-L] Missing trapd.log entries

Hi all,

I have the trapd.log data from 7DEC right up to 29DEC but am missing
29DEC to 01JAN data. I now have the data for 2JAN 04JAN - this is
current trapd.log file. But I do not know what happened to the data
for the date range 29DEC to 02JAN. All the daemons seemed to be
running fine.

I am currently running NetView 5.1.1 on AIX 4.2.1.0. I can't find
nv.log to diagnose my problem - is it only available for the NT
version of NetView?

Regards,
Yean-Tai
