I am also having a problem with netmon crashing many times a day. Support
thinks it has something to do with HSRP, but they are not sure what the
problem is yet. I am running it on AIX 4.3.3 and fortunately it is my test
system.

HI,

How large is your database? If it is larger than approximately 10000
objects then netmon keeps crashing because of RFI (Router Fault Isolation).
We had this problem in our Environment and there is APAR available from
Tivoli support. APAR number is IY14262. Our environment is Solaris 2.7 and
Framework 3.6.2. You might want to call Tivoli support on this one before
you downgrade to 6.0.

Hi,

I recently upgraded netview 6.0 to 6.0.1. As this new version doesn't work
propertly (crashes of netmon), I'd like to get back to 6.0. How could I do
this ? I didn't find any tip in the docs. Do I need to completely uninstall
netview and reinstall 6.0 ?

I'm using the framework 3.6 on a solaris 2.6 (sun4u sparc).

Thanx in advance,
