Sure is. The best way would be to add an icon at the interface level to
represent your software process and have the traps update it, then the node
which owns it would reflect status through the normal status propagation
process. I have posted a long append about how status on the map can be
updated by traps to the list several times. Why not browse / search the
archives at http://www.tkg.com/nv-l and see if you can locate it.
