An extract from a reply by James Shanks on this topic:
"The answer is that the V1 mibloader/browser is integrated with the rest of
the
NetView product and the V2 loader/browser is not. If you use the dialog to
configure snmpCollect for example, you will be connected to the SNMP V1
browser
in NetView and it will easily copy the MIB values for you. If you want to
use
something from the V2 browser, you have to manually edit the
snmpCollect.conf
yourself and add it. Ditto for the ruleset editor and checking or setting
MIB
values with it. If you get an unformatted trap, trapd will try to
resolve the
OID in the V1 MIB database but not the V2. And so it goes."
Note that I think James might have meant "snmpCol.conf" instead if
"snmpCollect.conf" which is "snmpcol.conf" for NT.
Although what you want to do may be possible with some manual intervention
on your behalf, this is not supported by Tivoli as far as I know. I hope
this helps,

Subject: [NV-L] Netview NT
Hi,
I have installed Netview 6.01 on NT 4.0, and I need to collect some MIB
variables that are defined in SNMPv2 ( the manufacturer, Nortel doesn´t
provide the MIBS defined in SNMPv1 ), the Collect Data opcion in netview
only permit collect MIB variables defined in SNMPv1, anyone knows how a
could change this option in order to collect the MIB information
thaks in advance
