Regarding Table Indexes in MIB files

Hi,

    What are the different types of indexes in the MIB
Table. Can any one throw some lights on this.

    Because in Router, if we are givng 'show snmp mib'
some of the Index entries are listed.... Like IfIndex.
  But some of the Index Entries are not in the Router.

  One more Some of them are Table Name instead of
Entries. Why like that.
