I am trying to create client/server enviorment with nt clients and one aix
server. since a nt client can not connect to a unix server it seems that
there is only two choices, the web client (or stand alone java client) and
X-emulation.

We have used exceed for years but there is not a way for global
acknowdgements to flow in this type setup. Our goal is if someone in IT
acknolwdges a node ( for maintenance , etc ) then the helpdesk map reflects
the ackowldged status and doesnt open a trouble ticket . The web client
however, does a very poor job showing maps (have to use the zoom tool
EVERYWHERE) and doest resize to the icons as you drill down to show icon
more clearly.

For example if i drill into a location that has one router icon and 6
network symbols , there is a ton of space but all icons are bunched in the
middle with labels and symbols stacked on top of each other.

I have seen posts on how people love the web client and use it exclusively ,
can someone point out some tips on how they made it work ?

TIA
