Frank,
This is not trivial. There are several files
involved.
i.e., oid_to_sym, symbol registration and bitmap
files
I will walk you through each one.
1. copy the new (aix.20.p etc) bitmap files to
/usr/OV/bitmaps/C
2. Modify the following OIDs in:
/usr/OV/conf/C/oid_to_sym
1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.1.2.1:Computer:AIX # IBM
AIX 3.1 workstation
1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.1.2.1.1.2:Computer:AIX # IBM
AIX 3.2 workstation
1.3.6.1.4.1.2.3.1.2.1.1.3:Computer:AIX # IBM
AIX 4.1 workstation
3. Add an AIX clause to:
/usr/OV/symbols/C/Computer
SymbolType "Computer" : "AIX"
{
Filebase "aix";
CursorSize 38;
Capabilities {
isWorkstation = 1;
}
}
4. Run ovw_config to compile the new bitmaps and
define the new symbols
5. Stop netmon and run ovtopofix -A
I will send you the tar file containing the
bitmaps directly to avoid cluttering
up the mailing list with jibberish :)
