Hi,
I have a Point to Point Frame relay connection btw 2 sites and i am
monitoring the interface with netview. Sometime i see an alert on the
netview showing that interface down and when i log the router and see it up.
Its been happening for many times but happens very rare. I did some
troubleshooting and i found that i have a configration ( ide time 300 secs
disconnect ) on the frame relay interface. which means who there is no data
travelling on this link for more then 300 secs then disconnect the VC.
Now the Question is:
"does the VC idle disconnect time govern the status of the interface - if
it times out, does the interface quit responding to pings ?"
Any ideas ?
