This is a MIME message. If you are reading this text, you may want to
consider changing to a mail reader or gateway that understands how to
properly handle MIME multipart messages.
Thank you for explaining what the purpose of the user group is. As I explained
several times, I am still "green" at this. I don't have anyone else to ask
questions, or direct me so I send an email to this group.

thanks

You should be calling Support with problems like this.
First, because they are the only ones who can give you the specialized,
personal help you need, (you keep asking "what went wrong?" questions,
which usually require someone to look at your logs, rather than "How do I
configure for such-and-such?" questions), and second, because they can
help you get 6.0.2 so that you are current on maintenance. There are lots
of bugs in 6.0 which are fixed in 6.0.2

Have you tried looking in the snmpCol.trace file in /usr/OV/log for clues
to your problem? You should be looking in at your logs more frequently
than once a month.

Subject: [NV-L] SNMP collections

To All::

I am runnign AIX 4.3.2 on Netview 6.0. I added a network printer last
month and just found out that my snmp collection had stopped. The last
time it collected data was the same day I added the printer. No other
changes were made. So, the only "logical" thing I came up with was the fact
that adding the printer somehow caused the data collections to stop.

Has any one experienced this? Please advise, management wants an answer
as to why we have not collected data for over a month..

thanks

Cat
