Vince, 2 possibilities on this one that I can think of. 1) You didn't have the Tivoli environment sourced when you did the ovstop / ovstart (and make sure you do an ovstop nvsecd). This results in a subset of daemons not starting properly 2) Do you have a Mid Level Manager on the same box? If so, it will grab the trap port when NetView's trapd stops and then all the NetView trap processing daemons won't start.
