I have experienced this several times too.
Same version of NetView (6.0.1) on Solaris 2.6
Watch your logfile nv6000.log if you have the GUI opened!
It is in the homedir where you started the GUI from (you know that)
It is probably growing fast!!!
I needed to kill the nmdemandpoll process to stop the logfile from filling
up, don't know what caused this.
In the end i started the GUI with the -nolog parameter.
Lately this fenomenon does not occur anymore. ?!

Having NetView 6.0.1 on AIX 4.3.3
It is observed recently that the Demandpoll does not work, It opens an
window and gets hang keeps on trying. I tried the nmdemandpoll command from
system prompt, this also hangs the same way.
Can U pls reply what could be the problem ASAP.
