James , Leslie ,
On the IP internet I have routers and locations.
The routers are connected to the locations as sample below ( in the map it
is much more complicated, but this is enough to emphasis the problem ) -
RTR1 RTR2 RTR3
\ | /
\ | /
\ | /
\ | /
Location1
/ \
/ \
RTR4 RTR5
This creates a situation on which it is not clear visually which router is
connected to which.
When I hide the location it goes away with all the lines.
Can you advise what to do to show direct connections between the routers ?
Best regards,
Moshe' Asseo.

You will have to do some map customization.
You cannot move the routers off the IP Internet map unless you create a
static submap. Not what you want I think.
You could hide the nodes you do not want to see (see the Edit menu) or put
them into location containers to simplify the map.
And you could use turn automatic layout off (View --> Automatic Layout -->
on/off) and then move the objects around by holding down the Ctrl key and
using the middle mouse button.
This kind of thing is discussed in the User's Guide for Beginners and the
Admin Guide.
You might want to make a new map and play with that while you are
experimenting and leave the default one alone until you get what you think
you want.

Subject: [NV-L] NW Topology on maps
Hello,
I have a request to show on one map or submap all the Routers with the
lines between them as displayed on the root ip internet, but without any
other nodes.
Also the request is asking to locate specific routers in specific places on
the screen.
Any idea how to perform this ? Is this possible ?
Best regards,
Moshe' Asseo.
