NV for Unix 6.0.2, AIX I've noted the recommendation that it is best to remove the seed file entries after the listed nodes have been discovered (except for the ones which block automatic discovery). Should the negative entries remain there permanently? I presume they should. What about the entries which direct netmon to use SNMP instead of PING? Is this direction remembered in the database or do these items remain in permanently? I haven't been able to reach a firm conclusion from reading the sources. Thanks, Bill Evans |
