Hi all.
In a customer environment we installed NetView 6.02, CiscoWorks LAN
Management Solution and TEC 3.7 on a separate NT Systems.
We have different problems in event forwanrding to TEC, Cisco Works
integration and the Netview event console.

1) All logonly events appears on the Web Client event browser and on the
TEC. How can I stop this behavior?
2) During installing the ciscoworks integration utility on the netview
machine the system said it could not load the cisco mibs because of memory
problems (the system has 1 GB RAM) and just netview is on this machine
managing 109 nodes. After finishing the installation of this utility
netview.exe needed all RAM to start (took about 5 minutes). Any ideas what
to do?

3) Event forwarding to TEC doesn't work properly. We receive logonly events
from netview, we receive events with the origin field filled with IP
address 0.0.0.0 for a lot of events.
We edited the tecad_nv6k.conf by implementing a new class called
nvserverd_event to receive enterprise specific traps from cisco and compaq
but this doesn't work properly. We implemented in tecad_nv6k.cds this new
class with different attribute settings to get this work, but just for a
few events we got the origin field filled with the right values but not for
netview events.
Is there a right or better procedure somebody know to realize event
forwarding to TEC on NT?

I hope somebody is out there who can give me a hand.

Mit freundlichen Gruessen - Yours sincerely
