Go into trap configuration and change Netview's severity. That will be
mapped to a TEC severity. If it is not mapped exactly as you wish,
open the 'T/EC Slot Mapping' dialog in there and add the slot
(severity?) and the level you want, just as you want it to appear in
T/EC.

Don,
Thanks for you reply. I think what Im trying to ask is - Netview
sends an OV_IF_Up message as Severity=Harmless and Status=Closed. Our TEC
operators would like netview to send the Harmless events as OPEN. How can I
change that parameter?

Dave,
It's not a bug. It's working as designed.
CLOSED events are not "displayed" in TEC.
CLOSED events are processed by TEC and are used to update or close open
events.
For example:
Interface Up and Node Up events are sent to TEC with a status of CLOSED.
They are not displayed in TEC, they are used to close any open events for
the same node.

Hi All,
Is there a way to send all events to tec as open? Right now
Netview is sending HARMLESS events as closed. Tec appears to have a bug, it
is dropping the closed events before they can be processed.

AIX 4.3.3
Netview 6.02

Thanks,
Dave
