Jack,
Even after you turn off RFI, if the node is unreachable, NetView has no
way to find it's current status, so leaves it as it was 'last known to be'.
As Leslie said, you need to find out why it is isolated and fix that
problem. Once you have done that, your system should replace the white icon
with a green one, and than reflect any future problems as yellow or red.
Best of luck,
Bill

Subject: RE: node with status: unreachable
Oh, I thought I have swtiched RFI off but I am still seeing white in my
maps.
Here's my netmon.lrf:
# --- MERGED on Sat Jun 9 11:45:39 NZST 2001 ---(V5R1-to-V6R0:Migration)---
netmon:/usr/OV/bin/netmon:
OVs_YES_START:nvsecd,ovtopmd,trapd,ovwdb:-P,-s/usr/OV/conf/seedfile.seedfile
,-J:
OVs_WELL_BEHAVED:15:,-K 0
Did I put the -K 0 in the wrong place? :P
At first I always associated white with RFI, after turning off RFI I still
saw white, so I read the 6.0 release notes, and it says there's a new white
symbol for unreachable.
Does RFI introduces the white or are they separate features?
Thanks,
