Your pax needs the "-e" flag to maintin the original permissions
Look at the man page for it. Type in "man pax"

Netivew 6.0.2 Aix 4.2
I made a " tar - cvf " the databases Netview and I restart which
"pax -rvf ". But the files have differents owner and differents
permissions.
Is there some flag for that files have the same permissions?.
