Running AIX 4.3.3 Netview 6.0.2 Framework 3.7.1
General question, I added a new switch to the network yesterday morning around
10am.The netmon added/discovered it around 4am this morning. Is that normal?
All day yesterday, I pinged the device, I did a demand poll on the router to
see if Netmon would discover it sooner. I checked netmon.seed file to make sure
it was not excluded. I also looked at netmon's queue but nothing was 'waiting' .
any ideas as to why it took so long to discover a device? or is this normal?
Please advice.
