Subject: [NV-L] Why is NetView using port 50161
Hello,
I've installed NetView 6.0.2 on a NT 4.0 Sp6a machine.
The problem I have is, I can only get SNMP values of the NetView machine.
On any other node I get a timeout error message. They are supporting SNMP
and I am using the correct community strings.
Sniffing on the network I found that NetView is sending SNMP requests using
port 50161 in stead of 161.
Why is this ?
Can this be (re)configured somewhere ?
Thanks in advance,
Bernard
