We use the SNMP location string - our routers and switches describe what
City they are in. Smartsets are used for each "region" by correlating on the
SNMP location field. Maybe this will work for you. I also use a main
smartset with all the routers, sounds similar to your implementation.

Subject: [NV-L] Filters...

Hi!

I need somes informations

I Have to explain the network that have. I Have 1500 routers around the
province
of Quebec divide by region 01, 02...18, 19. Each region have the
responsability
to check the status of their region. I have create a ruleset for trap the
critical router for all the province. The problem is that example: The
resion 02
can't see the router of the region 07. They ask me for have a filter trap
only
their region.

I have check how can I create the filter but I have no idea how can I
separate
all the router because the onlay way that I have think is by the hostname:
RS01
RMKIR02SA03. The number beside the "RS" is the region.

Thank's for your help.
