That is Netview adding a little something to make the name
unique. This usually happens when something is being
repeatedly deleted and added, and this is often due to
name resolution problems or duplicate IP addresses and
the like. Or perhaps that box is DHCP? If it appears to be
stable now (the selection name doesn't change every day),
then you can get it to a clean name by either deleting and
rediscovering it, or by changing it: with the context menu,
Edit..Modify/Describe...Object. There is a button to show
you a list of possible Selection Names, and one of them will
be the one with no attachment. Pick it and your are clean.
Sometimes, though, it will not let you OK out with that name
because it already exists. Then that means you have a
garbage version of the thing stuck in there. Do your database
housekeeping, ovtopofix, etc, and see if you can get it to
go away. I like to occasionally check all of the selection names
(ovobjprint -s and sort it) to see if there are a lot of those things.
Looking for trouble.....

I have several nodes who's selection name shows up with a number attached
to
the end of the name. Example: PLANXR01.fritolay.pvt4622350
I don't know where the 4622350 came from. Here is the ovtopodump from that
node:
[pbsxsn00001][/usr/OV/bin]>ovtopodump -l PLANXR01
