Chris,

Since you already have NetView, then you have the MLM code on the NetView
CD.   I would take a NT box and install an MLM on it.   With the MLM should
come a command "snmptrap" that takes parms to send a customized trap.
Since MLM comes freely with NetView, you should be able to take that
command, and any required DLLs to another box that you need to generate a
trap from without a licensing issue.   For any box you do this, you must be
running the snmp service on NT.
