It applies to networks. It is used when you configure Frame Relay
in /usr/OV/conf/C/if_to_sym, using the example included in the
header, and be sure to remember to update the Frame Relay
entry in /usr/OV/symbols/C/Networks file as instructed by those
same comments. Networks which are created for interfaces of
type 32 (frame relay). Defining a network as frame relay gets you
a cute symbol and that field. I find the symbol helpful when I have
cut and pasted all subnets for a router into a remote location.
When I look in that location submap it is easy to tell which of
the subnets represents the link back to the core and which are
lans.

Discussion
Hello Everyone.
NetView for UNIX 6.0.2 on AIX 4.3.3.10
Can anyone explain how the "isFrameRelay" Object Attribute works in a
SmartSet rule?
What SNMP object is NetView querying to determine whether the device is
using a frame relay circuit?
The "SNMP ifType = Frame Relay" SmartSet Rule does identify some frame
relay
routers. The "isFrameRelay" SmartSet Rule does not identify any frame relay
routers.
Thanks in advance.
