There is a man page for the "addtrap" command that may be useful for
you to read.
There is also a program called "mib2trap" (also with aman page) that
can formulate addtrap commands from mib file input.
If you know all the information about the trap, you don't need the mib
file, but having a mib file does make the process easier to some
extent.
If your experience mirrors mine, you'll soon learn about mib file
depedencies when you attempt to run mib2trap on a single mib file and
it complains of unresolved dependencies. :-)
