[netview for NT 7.1] question on ping and demandpoll from client

Hi,

     I have a question regarding NetView for NT (7.1) client since the
documentation is quite vague to me.
     When I use "ping" and "demand poll" menu option on NetView client gui
(NOT web client), are the
     requests passed back to NetView for NT server and run there? I assume
demand poll does so, but
     how about ping?
