7.1 is NOT supported on Windows XP.  It has not been officially tested there.  If you have any difficulties with it, you are on your own.
You can tell Support about problems you encounter, but no fixes will be supplied, and they will not be able to help you with installation.
7.1.1 due out later this year will be certified for XP
