It is likely that nothing official will happen unless you contact Support.  I would open a problem with them in the manner you usually use.
Never done that?  Ask your colleagues for your IBM/Tivoli customer number and the number they use to contact service.
This list is not an official channel, as it says at the bottom of each append.

If you don't like html, try the pdf versions of the on-line books  in /usr/OV/books/C/pdf
You can download an acrobat reader for AIX from Adobe on the web.

Hi,

I have just performed some testing on upgrading Tivoli Netview
V6.0.2 to V6.0.3 on an AIX server (V4.2.1) and I have some observations
about the release notes for version 6.0.3.

1. Footer of the even pages of the notes refer to Version 6.0.2 as opposed
to 6.0.3.
2. Page 9 System requirements. In this section, it is stated that requires
150MB for the installation process and an additional 40MB afterwards. Then
the installation notes start by saying perform a snapshot which, from my
experience, will take up about 140MB. Assuming that 200MB has been allocated
for the upgrade process, the installation will fail for space. The notes
should have mentioned that the installation process will take 150MB not
including the snapshot.
3. Page 10/11 Installation notes. Section 2c states that you should do one
of the two actions before re-installing. However we found that using the
NVPATCH backout facility (server) does not remove flags pa_6.0-NVS-0003-CAT,
pa_6.0-NVS-0003_CNFTAR and 6.0-NVS-0003_TAR as suggested. These will need to
be deleted before re-attempting the patch upgrade.
4. The notes/readme file for NVPATCH should mention that prior to performing
the backout using NVPATCH, Netview ,nettl and any process that will appear
in a ps -ef to be 'using' /usr/OV should be stopped.
5. It should also be mentioned in the notes that the NVPATCH backout feature
requires 150MB of freespace in /usr/OV.

As I am relatively new to Netview, could you inform me of the best way of
getting these changes implemented? Also, is it possible to use another
viewer for the online books for Netview V6.0+? The search facility in
Netscape is terrible.

Regards.
