Subject: [nv-l] New Object Holding
Area ...

Hello Everyone.
I'm going to rebuild a NetView for UNIX server with NetView 7.1 this
weekend. I plan to delete the existing 6.0.x installation and then install
7.1. After I get the paging, trap forwarding and rulesets working, on
Saturday, I'm going to let NV discover whatever it can. I hope it will have
discovered at least several hundred frame relay routers by the time I
arrive
Sunday morning.
I plan to create list of existing SmartSets' contents and start a script
that will loop through these lists. Hopefully this will assist NetView in
quickly discovering the routers. So there could be quite a few routers and
subnets in the "New Object Holding Area" by the time I arrive on Sunday.
I don't use the location.conf file. We have too many sites and it does not
apply to our map setup. So here is the question; is there a limit to the
number of devices that can be held in the "New Object Holding Area"?
Thanks in advance.
