Is it possible that the actual instance is not 6, but 1.2.6 or something
like that? The way I test this case is with the MIB Browser. Pull the
whole table, or whatever it is, and select one record in the response
window. The selected record is placed in the update window for you
to potentially edit and set. See what gets put in the Instance window.
Another possibility, depending on the nature of the problem, is that
it is a datatype that snmpCollect does not know. There has been some
discussion of handling this in the past.

Leslie,
I can do an snmpget to a mib expression on a device, but I can't get data
collect to
get the same mib variable. If I do an snmpwalk to the same variable, it
fails.
I'm guessing that the data collect is also doing the same snmpwalk, but I
can't be sure why its failing.
I'm using NV5.1.3.
this works:
snmpget UNISYS-T .1.3.6.1.4.1.223.7.2.2.1.2.6
response is: UP
but I can't setup data collect for .1.3.6.1.4.1.223.7.2.2.1.2 instance 6
Any suggestions?
Paul
