[nv-l] netviewd will not start

For some reason I am unable to get netviewd up and running.  The
netview_daemon.log file says:

netviewd: started by ovspmd,
redirecting output to /usr/OV/log/netview_daemon.log.
Couldn't open display

What display is it talking about??  It was working just fine until I needed
to reboot the machine for other reasons.  Now it will not start.  Any
takes??
